Southeast Asia’s largest celebration of German culture is back in Ho Chi Minh City! The Asia Pacific Hotel Awards 2012 have been judged and the Windsor Plaza Hotel has won the “Highly Commended” award for the category “Best Hotel in Vietnam” for 2012-2013. This marks the second “Best Hotel Vietnam” award for the Windsor Plaza Hotel following last year’s 2011-2012 awards. Successful companies attended a high profile gala presentation dinner at the J. W. Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on April 27th where the official announcements were made.

Sixty-eight finalists from across Vietnam are set to compete for the title of Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2011. The final rounds will be held from 26th November to 11th December in Ho Chi Minh City. Through the duration of the competition, the contestants and judges will be staying at the Windsor Plaza Hotel in District 5.

In recognition of his culinary ability, Chef Yu Zhi Da has recently received the Gold Award for Master Chef – Asian Cuisine at the 10th Annual Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA) for 2011 – 2013. The HAPA Best in Asia awards recognize outstanding performance in the hospitality industry for South-East Asia. The awards represent both group and individual talents from hotels, restaurants, and resorts.

The Windsor Plaza Hotel is proud to welcome 87 beautiful contestants for the 2011 South-Regional Miss Vietnam Ethnic Semi-Final Competition from 12th to 15th November.

On 17th October 2011, the Windsor Plaza Hotel was recognized as a Top 10 5-Star Hotel in Vietnam by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and the Vietnam Tourism Association. This is the second year in a row the Windsor Plaza Hotel has received this honor.

Oktoberfest Vietnam, organized by and held at the Windsor Plaza Hotel, is recognized as the largest and longest Oktoberfest celebration in South-East Asia, which last year attracted more than 14,000 guests.
